Hypnotherapy Training
This innovative program is designed to give the participants a working understanding of hypnotherapy. The course is practical and down-to-earth, concentrating heavily on the how-to-do-it aspects. Students are not simply taught all about hypnosis.
By means of supervised practice sessions, you will be trained to actually produce the hypnotic state and use it skillfully and effectively. Well thought out, tried-and-true, this course will help you to master your hypnotherapy skills and increase your results.
Upon completion of all class hours plus hands-on practice and independent study, students will be eligible for examination leading to graduation as a Certified Cosulting Hypnotist. The internationally recognized core-curriculum is reviewed, annotated and upgraded annually by our N.G.H. adjunct faculty and is further enhanced by the personal knowledge and experience of your instructor.
What is a Hypnotherapist? The U.S. Department of Labor declares that Hypnotherapy is an occupation within itself. The following legal definition is listed in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. 079.157.010 "Induces hypnotic state in client to increase motivation or alter behavior pattern through hypnosis."
What are the prerequisites for the class? It has been found that past training plays a very small role in one's ability to use hypnosis effectively, so there are no prerequisites for the training. What is the income potential? Fees vary from $50.00 to $250.00 per hour for sessions depending on location and experience.
Will I be capable of learning the material? Yes, Yes, and Yes! The class is broken down into small training sections to ensure that everyone can succeed.
What Happens if I miss a class? Every class is recorded. If you miss a class, you will receive a tape or CD of the class from the day you missed. There is no charge for this service

Topics of this comprehensive course will include.......
Suggestibility testing/Hypnotic induction techniques The purpose and types (authoritarian and permissive) are discussed, demonstrated and practiced. Scripts will be provided for all of the induction procedures. Practical hints that influence hypnotic suggestibility. Supervised practice by class members.
Recognition and classification of clients An in-depth discussion of the qualification of subjects, including common fallacies we encounter, occupational susceptibility, age, and susceptibility of highly impressionable and emotional people.
Favorable and unfavorable influences and dangers of hypnosis In this segment, we discuss the influences of light and color, of temperature, of odors, of music and sound, of quiet and the influence of emotions and its affect on inducing hypnosis.
How to hypnotize A three-step classical hypnotic induction procedure is introduced and demonstrated. Participants practice and are critiqued.
Methods of awakening Ordinary and gradual awakening methods are shown. Participants practice a self-hypnosis induction and awaken themselves.
Depth stages of hypnosis Participants are introduced to the six depth stages of hypnosis and the criteria for judging trance depth.
Self-Hypnosis training Participants will learn the rational for using self-hypnosis and how it can influence all phases of their lives. In addition, they will be introduced to the world of "suggestion", and learn six important criteria for formulating action suggestions.
Hypnotic Miscellany Mechanical aids and post-hypnotic suggestion are introduced. Deepening techniques and topics such as negative word traps and unethical posthypnotic suggestions are discussed.
Advanced induction techniques The eight steps necessary to perform an effective progressive relaxation induction are demonstrated. Instantaneous, indirect and waking hypnosis techniques are shown and practiced.
Your hypnosis practice and how it should be structured The varied possibilities and options open to enhance a profitable hypnosis practice are explored. This includes marketing one's private practice. The methodology and structure developing a far reaching practice, and marketing one's hypnosis programs to the corporate world are analyzed. Ethical and legal considerations are also discussed.
